What is Walk and Talk Therapy?

Walk and Talk Therapy is a form of psychotherapy that takes place outdoors while walking—usually in a park, nature trail, or another peaceful environment, rather than in a traditional therapy office. It combines the benefits of physical movement with traditional talk therapy techniques.

What about the weather?

It's Edmonton! When the weather’s bad, we can reschedule or meet indoors.

Your comfort always comes first.

Is this exercise?

Nope! It’s more of a gentle walk than a workout.

We'll go at a pace and take breaks as you feel comfortable!

Where do we walk?

We will meet in our office and walk in the Glenora area of Edmonton,

whether it be local neighbourhoods or the river valley.

Who is this for?

It’s for anyone who feels at ease talking while walking.

You don’t need to be super fit—just open to trying something different.

What about confidentiality?

We stick to quiet routes and keep things discreet.

While we can't guarantee complete confidentiality,

your privacy matters just as much outside as it does in a therapy room.

With great respect, we acknowledge the past, present and future Indigenous peoples as the original inhabitants and traditional guardians of this land that we call Canada and what is now North America. We acknowledge that this territory is home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3 within the historical Northwest Métis homeland. Today, we honour the more than 630 First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples, and we are grateful to have the opportunity to work on this land.
